Manuel Mercedes is a 2021 RHP with a 6-2 165 lb. frame from Santo Domingo, DR. Very slender build with lots of room to get stronger. Long and loose arm action with very good arm speed, arm stroke and mechanics very inconsistent at present. Fastball topped out at 92 mph, rides it over bats often from an over the top release point. Maintains arm speed on his firm change up very well. Developing slider with a short break to it. Very young mechanics but very impressive arm speed and velocity for his age.
