Michael Nicholas is a 2024 C/RHP, 2B, MIF, UT with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Canton, MI who attends Plymouth. Recorded a 7.12 60-yard dash. Primary catcher with a compact frame. Begins from a low set behind the plate and gained ground well. Ball came out well and used a clean arm action. Quality athlete behind the dish with arm strength. Recorded a pop time of 2.07 in drills. Also worked out in the infield and displayed clean glovework. Solid arm strength across and used a quick release. Right-handed hitter and starts from a medium base with even feet. Swings with lots of intent and showed a middle of the field approach, producing liners. Solid bat speed and hands stay loose. Low hand load and creates separation. Secondary right-handed pitcher and begins delivery with a small leg lift. Compact arm action and clean delivery, releasing from a high slot. Fastball topped at 79 mph and flashed an 11-5 shaped curveball. Mixed in a short slider/cutter and competed well on mound. Good student.
