Curt Ellison is a 2007 RHP with a 6'1'', 175 lb. frame from Alpharetta GA, who attends Milton HS. He has a tall build and slender frame that hasn't added much strength. Ellison has a long arm action with good looseness out front. He throws from a mid- 3/4's release point with a slinging cross body delivery/arm action. This release gives Ellison good running and sinking life on a fastball that was usually between 72 and 74 mph and touched 76 mph. That release point also makes it hard to get over a curveball and Ellison's had mostly a one-plane break at 68 mph. He also threw a 68 mph change up. Ellison's arm is loose enough to project if he gains strength but he may have to made some adjustments with his mechanics. He is a very good student.
