Trevor Murphy is a 2023 3B/RHP, SS with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Stapleton, AL who attends Baldwin Co. Recorded a 7.50 60-yard dash time. Primary third baseman with an athletic build and lower-half strength. Showed solid glovework before working into a longer arm action through the back. Right-handed hitter and starts from a narrow base with a high back elbow. Loads weight heavily on to back side prior to making a big shift forward to initiate swing. Showed some juice to his pull side. Solid bat speed and keeps hands inside. Worked the whole field during his round. Secondary right-handed pitcher and begins delivery with a side step and waist level leg lift. Coils and sits heavy on his back side before coming home. Employs a half arm circle through the back and uses his lower-half well to drive down the mound. Gets good extension out front. Worked fastball up to 81 mph. Landed both curveball and changeup for strikes as well. Changeup proved to be effective versus left-handed hitters. Tremendous student.
