Carlos Martinez Diaz is a 2021 C/IF, OF with a 5-5 150 lb. frame from Toa Alta, PR who attends Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy. Shorter height with a proportioned and athletic build. Ran a 7.39 in the sixty yard dash. A primary catcher, good hip mobility and light on his feet. Very quick transfer and gains ground with good energy. Short arm action and the throws stay on line, popped a 2.00 during drills. A right-handed hitter, starts with a balanced and even stance using a leg lift load. Works the hands through the ball with a flat path and solid bat to ball skills. Middle of the field approach with good feel to hit liners on all located offerings. Excellent student.
