Wade Hiers is a 2021 C/RHP/MIF with a 6-1 155 lb. frame from Castle Rock, CO who attends Skyview Academy. Tall and very slender build. Right handed hitter, hits from a closed bent knee spread stance, front shoulder turned in, swing takes a while to unravel from set up but it's loose and extended through the zone, projects as a hitter with additional strength and a shorter approach. 7.68 runner, sets up in a narrow stance, very compact arm action with developing arm strength, young overall catching actions, also played the infield. Took a turn on the mound, big side step multi-piece delivery, lands closed out front with a cross body low 3/4's release slot that will drop to side arm at times, varies delivery from pitch to pitch. Fastball topped out at 70 mph, also threw a soft curveball and change up. Good student.
