Howard Tate DeRias is a 2024 RHP/1B with a 6-4 195 lb. frame from Hammonton, NJ who attends Gloucester Catholic HS. Extra large frame and build with room to add strength. Primary right-handed pitcher with a longer arm stroke through the back and looseness to the stroke. High three-quarters arm slot and peaked at 90 mph. Good IVB and carry on the heater. Fluid operation and projects nicely with additional strength. Right-handed hitter with a high hand set, high back elbow, and a wide base. Smaller stride forward with a middle of the field approach. Comes off well and power projects with additional strength. Great student. Verbal commitment to Miami.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
