Vincent Orozco is a 2009 RHP/3B/SS with a 6'0'', 175 lb. frame from Rocklin CA, who attends Whitney HS. Orozco is a talented young prospect with some upside, particularly on the mound, though he showed well as a hitter and as a 3rd baseman too. He has a strong, broad body though with some room to add more size and strength. His arm works well, with an easy, long, loose arm action. His delivery is pretty fluid and allows him to get to extenstion, creating good down angle with his pitches. Orozco's fastball was 79-81 with good run. He showed some feel of the curveball and it has some depth. He used the change-up on both sides of the plate. There is more velocity in the coming years for Orozco, though he may be limited in terms of physical projection. At the plate the ball really comes off his bat well. He has a fluid stroke and showed some pullside power. He has a chance to be a pretty physical hitter. At 3rd base he moved well to his left and showed good feet and a strong arm that fits the position. D1 programs should put Orozco on their 09 follow lists.
