Cade Gardner is a 2024 SS/RHP/IF with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Fletcher, NC who attends A C Reynolds. Medium athletic build with some present strength and room for more. 7.38 runner, has very athletic actions in the middle infield on defense, comes to the ball very well with balance and good footwork, fields the ball out front with good hands, nice transfers, arm strength is still developing but he projects very well defensively. Right handed hitter, has a nice lower half shift into contact, smooth swing with some hand quickness to start his swing, solid line drive swing to build on. Took a turn on the mound, has a good gather above the rubber, well paced delivery. Fastball topped out at 78 mph, mostly straight. Curveball has good power with some 11/5 bite and shape that created some swing and miss. Nice young athlete who will continue to improve.
