Anthony Huaranga is a 2028 SS/RHP/3B with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Nutley, NJ. Large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and present strength on build, additional room to fill and develop moving forward. Ran an 8.25 60-yard dash. Primary infielder, actions play well on a corner, preps well with a sound first step on approach, glove plays at the ball and shows rhythm to actions, balanced on charge, compact arm action on throws across the diamond. Also pitched, leg lift just below belt at start of delivery, changes tempo/timing in operation. Able to keep hitters off balance, fluid arm action through the backside working to a three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 81 mph with sinking action and ability to locate to both sides of the plate. Attacked the zone well, nothing straight out of hand and mixed a curveball up to 64 mph. Left-handed hitter, begins with a medium and even base in the box, utilizes a simple load and shift moving into contact. Stays short and inside the baseball with comfort lifting at the point of contact; showed an advanced approach in live action, sees the ball well and stayed on the barrel. Will continue to unlock additional strength with added extension out front, shows some present strength in hands.
