Zachary Tucker is a 2019 1B/RHP, 3B with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Moorpark, CA who attends Moorpark. Medium frame with a lean, athletic build. Frame projects to support additional strength. Ran a 7.15 sixty-yard dash. Worked out defensively from first base and the infield. Moved well to each side showing athletic footwork. Soft hands while funneling and worked through exchange with fluidity. Released from a three-quarters arm slot generating some carry across the infield. Topped at 74 miles per hour from both first base and the infield. Right handed hitter with an upright, even stance and simple leg lift trigger. Worked to contact with rotational lower half actions. Simple, line drive barrel plane through extension. Flashed some feel for the barrel while employing a mid-field to pull side approach. Also pitched showing a step back to medium leg lift delivery. Worked through gather quickly and utilized drop and drive lower half actions. Compact arm circle at take back and released from a three-quarters slot. Fastball created some downward plane through the zone in the low 70's, topped at 74 miles per hour. Consistently located fastball in the zone with developing feel to work to the edges of the plate. Curveball had 11/5 shape with solid spin and good depth. Flashed the ability to pitch backwards when needed and effectively changed speeds. Good student as well.
