Lee Ellis is a 2023 SS/2B with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from White Plains, MD who attends Bishop Mcnamara. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean build, some present strength with additional room to fill throughout. Runs well, quick twitch and posted a 6.41 60-yard dash. Athleticism plays in the infield, shows balance to actions with lateral range to either side, projects nicely and repeats overall actions, quickness to arm working to a high slot with big arm strength and carry across the diamond, accurate throws as well. Right-handed hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate, relaxed set up at the plate, even base with simple movements. Fast hands with a compact and clean swing path through the zone. Generates leverages out front and able to elevate the ball with carry coming off, nice present bat speed with barrel whip through the zone, consistent barrel throughout round of BP as well. Very good student. Verbal commitment to South Carolina.
