Owen Michelson is a 2023 C/3B/OF with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Candler, NC who attends Enka. Well built and muscularly developed frame with twitchy actions and good athleticism. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.27 seconds. Primary position C, showing deliberate and refined mechanics displaying good feel for the spot. Nice feel with the glove working through pitches appropriately and clean transfer work. Very accurate arm, putting ball on bag with regularity, pop time best of 2.06 seconds and velocity in the mid-70's on throws. Took reps from the OF as well working glove to the side and deliberate through transition. Squared well and showed velocity up to 82 mph to bags from the outfield. RHH using a closed stance and good handset at the shoulders. Average leg lift for his load allowing him to create good whip in the barrel with strong hands at contact. The components are there to be an impact bat and showed his best bolts to the pull side in the air. Elite performer in the classroom.
