Connor McElroy Barker is a 2021 3B/RHP/1B with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Fanwood, NJ who attends St. Peter's Prep. Solid athletic build with good present strength. Right handed hitter, has a busy swing approach with a big lower half move into contact and lots of head movement, uphill swing plane, flashes strength when he's timed up and square to the ball but lots of swing variables to deal with before then, has the strength to hit if he can make adjustments to simplify his approach. 7.76 runner in the sixty, has sound actions at third base defensively, footwork is mature and confident, especially moving to his glove side, has good pace in his transition and release. Also took a turn on the mound, works from the stretch with a high hand delivery and a high 3/4's arm slot, good overall tempo and gets downhill. Fastball topped out at 78 mph, mostly straight, also threw a short curveball. Very good student.
