Tyler Beck is a 2025 OF/LHP with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Swisher, IA who attends Prairie. Beck recorded a 7.07 sixty yard dash at the event. Tall, athletic body that projects for more strength down the road. The primary outfielder, had quality routes in the outfield tracking down fly balls. He showed a good first step on his reads, and natural instincts. He uses a longer arm action from the outfield with some carry on his throws to the plate. The secondary left handed pitcher, ran the fastball up to 71 mph on the weekend. On the mound, he has a short arm action throwing from a lower 3/4 arm slot. He does create some deception in his delivery with a crossfire throwing action that leaves hitters a tough look at the plate. The control is still developing as there is some arm-side run on his fastballs currently. At the plate, Beck hits from the left side of the plate. He took a very controlled round of BP, showing off good bat speed and big intent behind his swings this weekend. He used a pull-side approach during BP, where he looked to lift balls into the OF. Excellent Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
