Ben Cronkhite is a 2026 C/RHP, 1B, 3B with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Metamora, IL who attends Metamora. A bigger frame and medium build with some thickness to his lower half. Ran an 8.13 60-yard dash. Primary catcher with a side saddle setup. Had a longer arm action with a higher release. Accurate around the bag on his throws that were at 70 mph. Produced a 2.25 pop time. A right-handed hitter with a low back elbow and even base. Gets his weight on the back foot. Rotational swing through the zone. Strides forward and gets the barrel through the zone. Best contact came back up the middle during his round of BP swings. Also took to the mound as a right-handed pitcher, working out of the wind-up with a side-step into his leg lift up above the letters. His hands move in sync with the leg lift. He pitches from the middle of the rubber and works from a higher three-quarters arm slot with a shorter arm action. His fastball was into the mid-70s with some natural sink to it. He flashed a slurvy breaking ball as well. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
