Jalen Collins is a 2021 OF with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Cypress, TX who attends Cypress Ranch. Recorded a 6.82 second 60 yard dash, showcasing good speed. Long and lanky build with room to fill, good chance to add strength. Primary outfielder with an aggressive approach, continues his momentum well through the ball. Short arm action, a bit stiff, stays on top of it and has accurate throws. Right-handed hitter with a high hand set and big weight shift back. Flat bat path, doesn't create lift at contact, tends to pull off at times. Power will improve as he keeps the front side closed and lets the ball travel, exploding the hips forward at contact. Sound base with a solid lower half, shows some feel for the barrel and has present bat speed. Excellent student.
