Joseph Pantoya is a 2020 C/RHP with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Lubbock, TX who attends Lubbock-Cooper HS. Recorded a 7.58 second 60-yard dash time. Medium frame with lots of room to fill out and add strength to the frame. Primary catcher with an easy set up with smooth and consistent footwork. Hands work well into the transfer with good accuracy. Arm works well with arm strength recorded up to 76 mph. Will improve with a quicker transition. Secondary righthanded pitcher with a long arm circle and extended release. High three-quarters arm slot with an upper half release. Throws strikes and pounds the zone. Righthanded hitter with a linear plane with compact hands. Whole field approach and showed some barrel skills out in front. High hand set with a high back elbow. Steady contact with a repeatable stroke and power potential. Good student.
