Russell Malcom is a 2026 OF/1B/3B with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from Bethlehem, GA who attends Apalachee. Medium, broad shouldered frame with some present physical strength proportioned throughout and additional room to develop moving forward. Ran a 7.70 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, fields the ball to side, works with a full arm action through the back, utilizes a short crow hop into release, occasionally under the ball at release, works through the ball with lower half and arm strength/carry on throws will continue to develop; wide base fielding at first base, similar release on throws, fields it out front. Right-handed hitter, begins with a spread stance and a high hand set and back elbow away from body. Keeps hands inside the ball and utilizes a toe tap trigger, linear path through the zone iwth the makings of hand speed, shows strength off of the barrel when squared and can continue to implement additional extension out front moving forward.
