Matt Johnson is a 2022 OF/RHP, IF with a 6-4 175 lb. frame from Moody, AL who attends Moody HS. Recorded a 6.77 second 60-yard dash time. Tall and lean frame with a lot of size and room to fill out. Primary outfielder with aggressive actions on the ball and long strides toward the target. Confident actions and comes out of the hand really well with throws recorded up to 87 mph. Secondary right-handed pitcher with a full wide up and a short side step into a controlled leg lift. Some effort at release with a high three-quarters arm slot. Good downhill action on the fastball and flashed a softer curveball. Right-handed hitter with a wide base and longer arm swing. Matches plane with with a level swing path. Swings with intent and shows good power at the point of contact. Named to the National Academic TP List.
