Hayes Harrison is a 2023 LHP/1B with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Oxford, AL who attends Oxford. A medium frame with an athletic build. Ran a 7.51 60-yard dash. Primary left-handed pitcher who was crafty in his outing. He hides the ball well in his delivery. Has an over-the-head pump. Holds over the rubber and works into a three-quarters arm slot. Pretty quick arm stroke. His fastball worked 79-82 mph and was well-commanded. He pairs it with a deadly changeup that was in the low-70s, killing spin down to 1,399 RPMs. He turned to the pitch often, and it induced a good amount of whiffs. It missed barrels left and right and helped him cruise through his outing. He was a competitor on the mound and held his stuff well over 3 innings of work. He punched out 5 opposing hitters without allowing a hit or allowing a baserunner. Harrison also worked out as a first baseman. Gets low in his stance with two-handed fielding up the middle. He was accurate with a clean arm action. Soft hands and good footwork around the bag, with an athletic turn on throws to second. Threw 84 mph from first base across the diamond. A left-handed hitter with high-set hands and a high-back elbow. Slightly open feet to start. Gets an inward stride as he works through the swing. He had a small stride forward, getting the hands deep in his load. Good hands as he works through the zone. Has some sneaky juice to the swing. Level swing plane being able to produce some solid barrels. Had a couple of hits to his credit during the games. Good student. Northwest-Shoals CC commit.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
