Tanner O'Neal is a 2023 C/RHP, 3B with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Bonaire, GA who attends Veterans. Ran a 7.44 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary catcher with medium frame and strength in the build. Athletic receiver with side saddle setup, staying low and working up to the ball, with strength in the hands. Quiet actions in game with quick transfer to throw as he replaces feet well, working direct to his target. Short, over-top release which produced throws at 76-mph which he paired with a 1.84-second pop-time. Secondary infielder with agility and athleticism present. First step quickness leads to lateral range to either side. Works through the ball well with one-handed gather through the ball and quick transfer to release. Ability to produce accurate throws across the diamond with carry from multiple slots. Throws in the infield at 85-mph. A right-handed hitter with smooth setup, square stance, and high hands set in the box. Twitch to the swing, allows to track pitches deep into the zone, catching the barrel with torque generation for present loft power. Carry present in current operation to the gaps as well. Good student.
