Mason Turner is a 2023 C/3B with a 5-10 190 lb. frame from Savannah, GA who attends Calvary Day. Medium, compact frame with some quick twitch athleticism and room to add strength. Recorded a 7.45 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary catcher that received from an upright, slightly staggered stance with soft hands and quick footwork out of the crouch. Exhibits a quick mid-line transfer, gains ground towards his target and worked into a short arm action. Recorded accurate throws up to 78 mph from behind the plate during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from a wider, open base with a tight, flatter hand set and hover trigger. Incorporates rotational lower half mechanics and short, direct hand path to the baseball. Whole field approach with strength to his hands and the ability to generate loud impact when on-time. Will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and minor refinements to his catch-and-throw skill set. Excellent Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
