2021 National Underclass Showcase-Main Event
Will Barter is a 2023 C/OF with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Pensacola, FL who attends Pensacola Catholic. Slender build with plenty of potential to add more muscle. Ran the 6- yard dash in 6.82 seconds. Primary catcher, has a square set up, displayed good footwork with a quick transition. Showed the ability to get rid of the ball quickly consistently making accurate throws with good carry. was clocked at a 1.97 pop time down to second base. Also worked out in the outfield, came to the ball well consistently fielding the ball out in front with a quick transition. Has a short arm circle displaying true carry on throws from the outfield, was clocked up to 88 mph. At the plate, hit from an even base with a small stride and a simple load that allows him to explode making contact out front. Displayed solid bat speed, consistently hitting the ball are on a line up the middle and pull side. Excellent student. Was named to the National Underclass Showcase Top Prospect List.
