Jake Rychter is a 2023 1B/OF with a 6-1 215 lb. frame from Port St. Lucie, FL who attends John Carroll Catholic. Big and strong physical build. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance with limited lower half shift, arm dominant swing with a line drive swing path, has some strength at contact when he's squared up, repeated his timing well, mostly mid field line drive contact, has lots more bat speed and lift available with increased lower half use. 7.58 runner in the sixty. Left handed thrower, has sound defensive actions at first base, receives the ball cleanly out front, makes accurate throws with a short and quick release. Key to development will be unlocking the power in his swing. Very good student.
