2022 Preseason HS Prospect Showcase
Dillon Henson is a 2023 RHP/IF with a 6-0 172 lb. frame from Gilmer, TX who attends Gilmer. Medium athletic build with some present strength and room for more. Easy well paced delivery on the mound, works under control with good balance and very good extension out front, long arm action with a high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 82 mph with nice running life at times. Breaking ball has good spin and bite and big sweeping shape. Also showed a change up with good arm speed. Three-pitch starter type who throws strikes with all three pitches and has an idea and ability to mix. 7.53 runner in the sixty, plays infield when not on the mound. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance with a big lower 1/2 drive and shift, looking to lift and drive the ball and shows good strength to the middle of the field when he squares it up. Good student.
