Dylan Deleo is a 2023 1B/RHP/3B with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Winter Haven, FL who attends Winter Haven. Medium, square shouldered frame with a high waist and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout. Ran an 8.97 60-yard. Primary first baseman, short steps off the bag with young actions, fields out front, works with a full arm action through the back, shows accuracy on throws with arm strength that will continue to develop. Fields the ball out front in infield with some bend at waist, extra step moving through release, full arm stroke on throws with accuracy when on top. Also pitched, similar arm stroke working to an extended three-quarters release point; leg lift up to belt at start. Strides on line coming down the mound, works down in the zone with fastball and topped 70 mph, can continue to incorporate additional lower half into release; curveball up to 60 mph with slurve shape from finish. Listed as a switch-hitter, only took reps from the right side in this look; begins with a narrow stance with hands close to body and a lower back elbow. Shows a full swing path through the zone, best when working on a linear plane. Loads hands back at start, contact oriented approach and can work to opposite field, shows extension, bat speed projects with added physical strength. Excellent student.
