Robert Justin Bencosme is a 2028 MIF/RHP/3B with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Hialeah, FL who attends Mater Academy Lakes. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength, additional room to grow moving forward. Ran a 7.81 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, moves well with fast feet in the dirt and a sound prep step, possesses lateral agility and moves well on the charge, strong arm across the diamond and shows ability to drop slot when needed; effort on throws across, sound funnel with carry on to first base. Accurate throws with athleticism in actions at first base, strong arm. Also pitched, compact arm action through the backside, longer pause over the rubber in gather; worked around the zone fastball topped out at 76 mph and showed a short curveball at 59 mph. Right-handed hitter, begins with a tall stance and narrow base in the box, utilizes a big leg lift trigger for timing at the plate. Fast hands and generates nice bat speed through the zone, shows comfort working to the gaps. Consistently on time with hands, gets the barrel out front at the point of contact.
