Luis Vargas-Lopez is a 2025 C/2B, 3B with a 5-8 160 lb. frame from Kissimmee, FL who attends Osceola. A lean build and compact frame. Ran a 7.26 60-yard dash. A primary catcher who starts in the crouch before moving quickly and well through the catch-n-throw. Starts with an open base and gains ground well through the throws. Ball gets to second in the air on a good flight. Has a smooth release with a shorter arm action. Threw 74 mph down to second with a 2.03 pop time. A switch-hitter. As a left-handed hitter, he works from a wider base with the hands high and a high back elbow. Was able to turn it over during his round of BP. As a right-handed hitter, he works from the same setup. Similar results, getting the hands to it and turning it over. Produced an 80 mph exit velocity during PG Tech testing. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
