Derick Xavier Sanchez is a 2022 OF with a 5-8 145 lb. frame from Juana Diaz, NY who attends Albergue Olímpico Baseball Academy. Smaller frame with a lean and athletic build. Ran a 7.35 second 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, takes short strides to the ball and works aggressively through it, repeats his actions well and gets rid of the ball quickly from a short arm action as he showed excellent accuracy on low throws to bags. Right-handed hitter, sets up narrow and open using a big leg lift trigger; has some length to the swing as he casts the hands out at times but has enough bat to ball skills to project on as he adds strength to the frame.
