Erick Soto is a 2024 C/RHP/1B/3B with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Pompano Beach, FL who attends Trinity Christian Academy. As a primary C Soto certainly looks the part, working from a strong broad build with evident lower half strength. He displayed the ability to gain ground in the footwork starting from a side saddle set, flashing a consistent quick transfer with some carry down to 2B up to 75 mph. The arm action was compact with a repeatable release, posting a 2.07 pop time. From the IF, Soto showcased active footwork with solid lateral angles and soft hands, touching 85 mph across the diamond. Projects as a corner guy. Offensively, the righty started from an even base with evident strength in the hands to generate impact to the pull side of the field. He consistently stroked line drives with backspin flashing good barrel control and weight shift, posting an exit velo of 87 mph. Ran a 7.37 sixty yard dash. Good student. Named to Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
