2023 New York Indoor Showcase (Sunday)
Ryan Williams is a 2025 1B/RHP/3B with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Absecon, NJ who attends St. Augustine Prep. Williams once again was a standout performer over the course of his event, working from a broad athletic build with strength proportioned throughout. At his usual 1B spot, he attacked the ball well with aggressive footwork and a deep fielding funnel. He topped out at 80 mph across the diamond with further room to add onto the arm strength. On the bump Williams ran his FB up to 82 mph flashing a big downhill stride and max effort mechanics. The arm action was compact with a 3/4 release, displaying a SL and CH also present in the arsenal. At the plate, the righty started from a narrow base with a calm/controlled leg lift trigger to produce line drive impact gap to gap. He kept the stroke loose and repeatable, posting an exit velo of 84 mph. Good student. Named to Top Prospect List.
