2021 Preseason HS Prospect Showcase
Robin Vergara is a 2024 SS/C, 2B, 3B, OF with a 5-7 155 lb. frame from Sarasota, FL who attends Riverview. Shorter height with an athletic build and room for growth. Ran a 7.79 in the sixty yard dash. A primary infielder, has feel for timing to the ball and works his feet to square the ball up. The hands work and the exchange is clean. Also worked out behind the plate and showed a quick transfer while popping a 2.12 during drills and accurate to the bag. A switch hitter, showed a loose right handed swing with a linear process and feel for the barrel. Left-handed, he starts slightly open and really works the barrel out looking to pull. Very good student.
