Zachary Quimby is a 2022 C/RHP, 3B with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Arvada, CO who attends Arvada West. Recorded a 7.95 second sixty-yard dash time. Medium frame with some lower half strength present. Primary catcher that receives from a narrow, slightly side-saddled stance with soft hands and a short, direct mid-line transfer. Gains ground out of the crouch, working slightly uphill with quick feet into release. Recorded arm strength up to 71 mph during drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher that works from a full windup delivery. Uses a small side-step to start, while incorporating a higher leg lift into balance. Simple, drop and drive lower half mechanics down the slope with some deception into release. Fastball worked in the mid-70s for most of his outing, topping out at 76 mph from a three-quarters arm slot. Proficient strike thrower with feel for his three-pitch arsenal. Mixed in well-tunneled slider that flashed late tilt and replicated changeup with fade. Took part in the infielder portion of the workout and showed deliberate footwork throughout the fielding process. Uses slight waist bend and funnel to field, changing arm slots when necessary and recorded arm strength up to 74 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that hits from an upright, slightly open stance with a tight hand set, high back elbow and leg lift trigger. Contact oriented stroke with slightly uphill swing path and some strength at impact. Pullside approach with developing feel for the barrel, will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength. Good Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
