2022 West Coast Prospect Showcase
Colin Huston is a 2023 C/RHP, 1B, 3B with a 6-3 215 lb. frame from Rocklin, CA who attends Rocklin. The large frame back stop showed an ability to secure and transfer the ball quickly into throws that showed moderate carry. At the plate, he sets up with wide spread base and upright stance. The load is simple with linear path he used to work middle to pullside. There's present strength at impact but could benefit from some polishing of the swing. On the mound, he's a physical presence working down the plane well that led to above average command of the fastball. The breaking ball was a true wipeout slider that he went to late in counts with regularity. 7.79 60 yard. Outstanding student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
