Trent Malik is a 2023 C/3B, OF with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from San Jose, CA who attends Bellarmine College Prep. Medium to Large frame with a sturdy build showing broad shoulders and a strong lower half. Ran a 7.19 second sixty yard dash. Primary Catcher, starting square as he sat down athletically in his stance proving to have some flexibility. Glove showing well as he received the baseball with soft hands. Catch and release skills showing on throw downs as he was quick with transfers. Gains ground and then released online with accurate throws while recording a pop tim of 2.26 seconds. Right-Handed Hitter, balanced to start while slightly open with the front side. Higher leg lift to stride as the hands sink into separation. Longer path as he fires the hands into a linear swing path. Proved to have some power in the swing when he timed it up out front. Outstanding student.
