Rodrigo Ortiz is a 2023 MIF with a 5-8 130 lb. frame from San Juan, PR who attends Robinson HS. Recorded a 7.00 second 60-yard dash time. Young frame with a lean build and plenty of room for additional physicality. Primary middle infielder with younger actions and a full gather. Long arm stroke with soft hands and a clean funnel. Moves well to his left with arm strength recorded up to 74 mph across. Right-handed hitter with a straight stance and good move inward on the ball. All fields approach with tighter hands. Can work the outer half of the plate well and looks to take what the pitcher gives him. Projects for power with additional strength. Tremendous student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
