Ty Garcia is a 2023 OF/RHP with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Northridge, CA who attends Chaminade College Preparatory. Medium, athletic build with potential for added physical strength. Primary position is outfielder, recorded a 6.87 60 yd time. Has sound defensive skills, throws have online carry with accuracy. Recorded 88 mph throw from the OF. RH hitter with narrow, open stance with lower handset. Line drive type hitter with quickness in hands with developing raw strength in swing. As RH pitcher, has simple delivery, pitches from the 1B side of the rubber. Throws from 3/4 arm slot with extension out front. FB has arm side run, tries to locate to both sides of the plate. Needs to continue to refine FB command. CB has occasional tight rotation with 3/4 type action. Around the zone with all pitches, needs to continue to refine the quality of his strikes. Athletic prospect with baseball tools to develop. Good student.
