2020 California Workout Camp (Sunday)
Drew Dalton is a 2022 SS/2B, OF with a 5-11 140 lb. frame from Granada Hills, CA who attends Chaminade College Preparatory. Drew is a long and lean athlete who plays with sound confidence and a plus fundamental ability. In addition to his solid ability on the diamond, Drew is also an exemplary student. A primary middle infielder, Drew's ability on the dirt is highlighted by his smooth and easy glove. He can make all the plays. He transitions well to a throwing arm that allows his tosses to hold their plane across the diamond. His throws are routinely accurate. At the plate, Drew is balanced at the ready and shows plus leverage in and with his swing operation. He is shorter and more direct to the baseball. There is obvious strength in his hands that he knows how to use. He has plus feel for the barrel and is more of a contact-first, line driver who has a plan and a purpose with a stick in his hands. He flashed some power potential, also. Drew has a sound skill set. He has the ability, with continued work and attention to detail, to play at the next level.
