Cameron Gilkerson is a 2023 OF/LHP with a 6-2 205 lb. frame from Hilliard, OH who attends Hilliard Darby. Large athletic build, extremely strong for his age. Left handed hitter, hits from a spread and open stance, arm heavy upper body swing, has elite strength in his hands and the ball comes off the barrel very hard, very little lower half use in generating bat speed, has the chance to be a high level power hitter if he can make adjustments. 7.27 runner, shows some arm strength from the outfield, likely to learn how to play first base in the future as well. Took a turn on the mound, works from the stretch with a low 3/4's arm slot, has a feel for locating the ball and changing speeds. Topped out at 76 mph with two types of breaking balls. His power is his big tool and it will be interesting to see how it develops. Good student. Named to the Sunshine Showcase Top Prospect List.
