Carsen Kane is a 2023 C/RHP with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Gilbert, AZ who attends Desert Ridge. Features an athletic build with some strength throughout. Ran a 7.49 60-yard. Solid defensive round behind the plate. Utilizes a quick transfer with the ability to gain ground well. A short arm action and quality arm speed allow for quick releases. Displayed solid accuracy throughout the round. Utilizes a narrow, upright setup in the box. Uses a small leg kick with a slight hand hitch timing mechanism. Flashed some bat speed on a slight uppercut path. Strength generated some power throughout the round. Also showed well on the mound. Uses a slight drop and drive delivery with low effort throughout. Has the ability to repeat the delivery allowing for consistent strike throwing. Overhead arm slot creates down angle on the fastball, which topped out at 77 mph. Pairs it with an upper-60’s curveball with sharp 12-6 action. The offering tunnels well off the heater, making it tough to pick up. As intriguing traits as a potential two-way player. Very good student, as well.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
