Dylan Lina is a 2022 SS/ with a 5-9 175 lb. frame from Carson, CA who attends Mary Star Of The Sea HS. Recorded a 7.41 second 60-yard dash time. Present size to the frame with broad shoulders and lots of room to fill out upon physical maturity. Primary shortstop who fields out in front and comes through the ball well. Fluidity and feel to the overall actions with good carry on throws across the diamond. Short, sure steps to the ball with balance to mechanics. Accurate throws and played the position well in-game. Secondary righthanded pitcher with a big gather on the backside and a quick arm. Full arm stroke through the back through a three-quarters arm stroke. Fastball up to 82 mph flashing short life with some plane to the pitch. Righthanded hitter with a high hand set and high back elbow. Short swing with present bat speed. Consistent line drive contact with a consistent and repeatable swing. Direct path to contact and turns on the ball well while extending out in front of the plate. Can increase power with additional leverage to the swing. Named to the 2018 14u West Showcase Top Prospect List. Good student.
