Nico Button is a 2021 C/3B with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from San Mateo, CA who attends Junipero Serra HS. Large and physical frame. Ran a 7.13 second 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, sets up in a side saddle position behind the plate, receives the baseball with a sure mitt, longer transfer while staying clean into his release, takes his arm back to a compact arm action, comes through the baseball working his momentum into throw downs, flashed online throws with some accuracy and arm strength, 2.01 second best pop time. Lefthanded hitter, sets up with a narrow stance and a high back elbow at the plate, loads onto his backside, swings with intent and some pop when squared, uphill swing plane looking to lift the baseball. Outstanding student.
