Daniel Kahn is a 2020 SS/2B with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Seattle, WA who attends Roosevelt. Medium frame with a lean build and wiry strength. Frame projects to support additional strength. Primary shortstop with smooth paced footwork while ranging for and surrounding the baseball. Stays low while funneling the baseball and worked through exchange with developing fluidity. Released from a compact three-quarters arm slot generating some on line carry to the bag at 77 mph. Left handed hitter with a slightly crouched, even stance and simple front side trigger. Created linear shift into contact with lower half. Simple, repeatable hand path to baseball with a line drive barrel plane through extension. Displayed solid balance and fluidity through swing when on time at contact. Primarily looked to work the ball to the middle of the field but flashed the barrel feel to work the other way as well. Good student.
