Gable Mitchell is a 2022 SS/2B with a 5-9 182 lb. frame from Iowa City, IA who attends City High. Compact athletic build with good present strength. Switch-hitter at the plate with similar set ups from both sides, hits from a narrow stance with a simple load and trigger, very repeatable all fields contact approach, has faster hands and more bat speed from the left side but is a true switch-hitter with next level tools from the right side as well, gets surprising jump off the barrel for his swing approach. 6.77 runner in the sixty. Has good quickness in the middle infield on defense, works good angles through the ball with soft hands, works behind the ball well, quick transfer and release with plenty of raw arm strength. Has the tools to stay at shortstop for a while. Excellent student, signed with Iowa. Named to the National Pre-Draft Showcase Top Prospect List.
