Jessie Perez is a 2021 C/IF with a 5-8 163 lb. frame from Taylorsville, UT who attends Bingham HS. Young athletic build. 7.07 runner, has quick actions behind the plate defensively, stays low and works through the ball throwing, has quickness working side to side, very quick release on his throws with accuracy, 1.96 best pop time with game actions in drills. Resembles a middle infielder physically but has advanced catching skills. Right handed hitter, shift well into contact from a straight stance, has a smooth swing with some hand quickness getting it started, uphill swing plane. Interesting young athlete, especially on defense.
