Warner Young is a 2022 1B/RHP/2B with a 6-2 160 lb. frame from New York, NY who attends Poly Prep Country Day. Large frame with slender, projectable build; ran 40 yard dash in 4.99 seconds. Hits from wide spread, even-based stance, hands very tight to body, minimal load, leg lift trigger, big stride out, swing has some length at times, linear path, some pull-side impact when on time. Worked out in the infield, segmented movements laterally, hands work when out front, clocked up to 74 mph on throws. Also pitched, small rocker step, varies timing and tempo of leg lift, longer arm stroke, fastball worked 71-73 mph, showed softer curveball with depth. Good student.
