Jean Cruz is a 2020 2B/3B with a 6-2 168 lb. frame from Villalba, PR who attends Puerto Rico Baseball Academy. Tall and slender young athletic build, lots of room to fill out and get stronger. 7.56 runner, moves well side to side in the infield, stays low and plays behind and under the ball, has soft hands and fields the ball cleanly, can speed up his release, good arm strength for second base. Right handed hitter, hits from a high hand load, long and smooth extended swing, gap to gap contact, nice looking swing and found the barrel consistently, swing projects as he gets stronger.
