Porter Dykes is a 2024 C/RHP/MIF with a 6-3 175 lb. frame from Dothan, AL who attends Providence Christian. Large frame with broad shoulders showing strength in the build. Ran a 6.86 second sixty yard dash. Primary Catcher, setting up high in the stance to start. Receives the baseball well out front and transfers quickly with two hands. Gains ground and was accurate to the bag during drills. Recorded a pop time of 2.13 seconds. Secondary Middle Infielder, sitting back on the baseball a bit as he makes sure to keep it in front of him. Clean gather before as he slows momentum down. Uphill release as he threw it 78 mph during drills. Secondary Outfielder, quick first rounding the baseball well. Weight over front side as he gathers off front foot. Slows momentum down upon release as he threw it 84 mph. Right-handed Hitter, high hands to start and slightly open with the front leg. Strides out and creates separation. Shorter linear cut as he looks to keep the hands compact to body. Middle of the field approach and proved to have some pop in the gaps when he got extended. Outstanding Student. Named to Preseason HS Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
