Cooper Couig is a 2024 1B/3B with a 6-0 205 lb. frame from Redondo Beach, CA who attends Redondo Union. Strong, durable frame. At the plate he sets up in a traditional, balanced stance. Showed intent in the swing with quick, loose hands. Gets tremendous extension to and through the baseball. Squared up 95% of the reps he saw in his BP round. Has over the fence power potential. Defensively profiles at a corner position. Uses proper foot/glove mechanics and gets through the ball efficiently. Made all the plays required and showed a strong, accurate arm on his throws across the diamond. Clocked a 8.1 60-yard dash.
